A magnificent stone staircase divides left and right and rises to the formal entrance, as it would have been in the 18th century. Below is the servants' entrance, which conveniently serves the kitchen and the less formal living areas.
The estate includes the chartreuse with its two bedroom apartment, a large independent two bedroom gite, two additional barns, both of which could be converted into gites; and a 12x5m swimming pool set within a hectare of landscaped gardens.
The chartreuse is situated in a popular market town, set back from the road and well screened by its high stone walls and wrought iron entrance gates.
The local town has all the necessary amenities, including a medical centre, pharmacy, banks and restaurants/bars. There are also weekly markets and annual festivals in the local towns. The local area attracts many tourists in August due to the jazz festival town of Marciac. Other local activities include golf and horse riding.
