A historic country home, set on the edge of a rural village in the heart of the Madiran wine region, with clear views of the Pyrenees. This property evolved from an early 17th century château, built by the Chevalier de Medrano whose father, the Seigneur of Medrano, occupied the neighbouring château. The Manoir was re-modelled in the 19th century (retaining the original woodwork), with only the original tower and the wine chai remaining.
The Manoir has been extensively and professionally renovated by its English owners, who have managed to successfully combine its period features (beamed ceilings, terracotta floor tiles, period fireplaces, original woodwork) with modern day comforts. The results speak for themselves; the property has a homely, yet authentic period atmosphere.
