The location of the Katerina-Alpik residential complex

The geographical coordinates of Krasnaya Polyana are 45° 49' 20" North, 42° 4' 53" East - a place where subtropics closely adjoin an Alpine zone. Krasnaya Polyana is one of the most beautiful corners of the West Caucasus, being in the territory of Sochi National Park, which from the northeast borders the Caucasian state biosphere reserve. The settlement is located in a valley of the River Mzymty, at a height of 600 meters above sea level, 40 km from the coast and 65 km from Sochi. The River Mzymty is the largest river flowing into the Black Sea coast in the western Caucasus with a depth of 23 meters and flowing through the high-mountain lake Kardyvach. The valley is protected from wind by mountains whose peaks reach 2,400-3,200 meters.

The Katerina-Alpik complex is located in the eastern part of the valley and covers 5 km. The distance from the Katerina-Alpik residential complex to the first mountain-ski lift is 2.5 km, or 3-5 minutes by car.
